    Description

This A. Malerne Bb Clarinet is the nicest one I've seen online: It is very clean (it was thoroughly cleaned after the last time it was played, the silver nickel keys and all hardware was properly polished, there is no grime and the clarinet has been kept in its case. The cork is very good as well without damages, all keys have cork in the proper places as well (see detail photos).
The instrument comes from a smoke free environment, and has not been exposed to high humidity. There are no cracks, the beautiful black Grenadilla (African blackwood) has been nurtured and polished with peanut oil inside and out.
The blue steel springs are all in place and without damage, so are the screws which are all still original and are easily opened for cleaning. The keys have been repaired all action works.
The mouthpiece is attached to the barrel, that is not a flaw in any way and won't interfere with the playing, the mouthpiece is still the original R. Malerne piece and stamped (if you choose you can probably get this replaced by a music service person and have a different mouthpiece). Some tiny surface scratches are barely
visible, the instrument is beautiful, with shiny silverย hardware and keys and rich dark wood. The bell has a beautiful silver edge. The mouthpiece has a separate silver nickel cover (which is rare).
You can easily keep this instrument at the quality level it is at by polishing it with peanut oil, silver polish and the occasionalย rep adding for many years of joy with this great instrument. See the photos with all detail and you can tell already what a beautiful and unique well care for instrument this is. The sound by the way, is rich and warm and mellow โ€” nothing like the terrible rubber and
    plastic
sounds of the newer instruments! This instrument is an absolute beauty , at a very good price!
The initials of the person who made this instrument are stamped into the lower and upper tube under the keys.
All pieces are stamped with matching serial numbers (A 3430) which indicates a date of manufacture of 1957.
This is by far the cleanest of these that I have seen in a while.
The instrument has been well cared for during its entire lifetime, and it shows. The case is also original, and has two working locks, original key works and is included. No mayor scratches on the case either.
I am including a grease stick, a new cloth, an unused/new reed and a book (a graded method for beginners and early career students by Alfred Publishing, 48 pages)
I will package the case (instrument is padded inside) with additional bubble-wrap and cardboard for extra protection.
