Apple is set to unveil its latest iPhone range along with other product updates at its Apple Event Monday.
The September event, tagline “It’s Glowtime,” is rumored to be centered around the Silicon Valley giant’s flagship phone offering, which may be upgraded to support artificial intelligence capabilities and improve the phone’s camera.
Apple watchers also suggest that the Apple Watch and Airpods are due to receive an upgrade.
The Apple event kicks off at 1 p.m. EDT/10 a.m. PDT on Monday and will be streamed on the company’s website and YouTube channel.
Here’s what’s rumored to be unveiled at Apple’s “It’s Glowtime” event
The anticipated headline announcement from Apple Monday is the new iPhone 16 range.
The major upgrade rumored to be in the iPhone 16 is a new A18 chip with 8GB of ram to enable the support of Apple Intelligence, the company’s artificial intelligence software.
9to5Mac reported in March that the new chip had been designed to support on device artificial intelligence.
The new models are said to be gaining an action button, replacing the iPhone 15’s mute toggle that had been previously incorporated into the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, according to MacRumors.
The cameras on the iPhone 16 will likely be rearraigned from the diagonal orientation of the iPhone 15 to the vertical layout seen in the last generation’s Pro models. The change, according to 9to5Mac, is to support the recording of spatial video.
Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicted on social media site X that the company will release the iPhone 16 and the iPhone 16 plus in black, green, pink, blue, white.

The premium iPhone tier is set to see larger screens and a solution to the previous model’s heat management problems.
MacRumors reported that the displays of the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max would each be .2 inches larger than the equivalent iPhone 15 model at 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches respectively. The site suggested that the phones would be slightly larger than its predecessors.
9to5Mac reports that the iPhone 16 Pro could see the same 5x zoom tetraprism camera that is currently exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro Max. The model could be able to to record video at 4K resolution at 120fps for the first time.
The upper line could see the addition of a “capture button” that would open and operate the phone’s camera. 9to5Mac reported that the button could appear on all models while MacRumors suggested that it could be a Pro and Pro Max exclusive feature.
A leaked photo from Apple watcher Kotusami Ito posted to X in November showed a prototype of the battery case that could be used in the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max to prevent overheating issues that plagued the iPhone 15 Pro. The case would use a metal cover instead of a tin one.
Kuo predicted that the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max will be available in black, white or silver, gray and rose.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reported in November that the company was planning an overhaul to the wireless earbud offering and 9to5Mac suggested that the results of the shake up are due Monday.
The company will sunset the Airpods 2 and Airpods 3, brining the entry level and midlevel wearables under the Airpods 4 banner.
The entry level Airpods will likely not have noise cancellation while the midlevel offering will. 9to5Mac reports that the Airpods Pro will not see any changes until 2025.
Each of Apple’s horological offerings is set to see upgrades on Monday.
The company appears set to announce the Apple Watch Series 10. Notable changes include larger case size offerings at 45 mm and 49 mm and larger screens according to 9to5Mac.
Gurman reported that the newest Apple Watch SE could swap its aluminum shell for one made of “rigid plastic” in his Power on newsletter. The company switched the entry level smartwatch’s caseback from ceramic to a nylon composite material in 2022.
Rumors are scant for the Ultra 3 though 9to5Mac suggested that the watch could receive a new chip but no hardware updates.
USA TODAY previously reported that the event will likely feature the release schedule for iOS 18.
The operating system was revealed at the Worldwide Developers ConferenceĀ in June where Apple showed that the system would integrate Apple Intelligence.
